The green rooibos tea, which is also called greebush, comes from the same plant as the red rooibos. The difference arises during the fermentation of the shredded needle, which is prevented or interrupted here. The green rooibos is more reminiscent of tea than rooibos. The typical, sweet Rooibos taste is not present here. It tastes fresher and grassier. The green rooibos tea can be drunk hot or cold. It is also used as a basis for Asian soups and curries.
